Windhorse Images Indonesia is a blog where a small selection of all photos, taken during our trip to Indonesia (autumn 2024), can be viewed.
Virtually no letters... no extensive travelogue. The images speak for themselves... moreover, you can just 'google' if you want to know a bit more about a certain subject (or about what can be seen in a photo).
As far as we're concerned, this blog is a tribute to the culture and, especially, the people of Indonesia. It must be said, a lot had changed since our last visit (about 35 years ago!)... but the people, both on Java and Bali (we didn't get any further this time), are still as open-minded, tolerant, friendly and hospitable as they were then.
A month Java and (north-west) Bali turned out to be too short. But... we've seen a lot (also under water) and had many special (sometimes even moving) encounters... especially on Bali, where we spent twelve days in and around Pemuteran, a fairly untouched village where you can still taste the pure, authentic Balinese life (for as long as it lasts!). We also dived and snorkeled there. Terrific!
